Central Elgin Collegiate Institute is the second largest of three public secondary schools in St. Thomas, Ontario.

CECI has a reputation as an academically-minded secondary school. At one time the school was part of the International Baccalaureate Organization; however, that status is no longer recognized.[2] The school has a strong reputation for its athletics, especially men's basketball & volleyball, men's and women's tennis, women's soccer and the varsity wrestling team.[citation needed]. Central also has a very strong music program[citation needed]. The school has a Grade 9 Band, Senior Wind Ensemble, Choir and the Jazz Band.

Central's current principal is Mr. Mark Flumerfelt along with vice-principal Mr. Dwayne deJonge.
