The Centre for Contemporary Arts (CCA) is an art gallery, performance space, cafe, and cinema on Sauchiehall Street, in Glasgow, Scotland. CCA also houses a number of cultural tenants,[1] and has a flat for visiting artists.

CCA's artistic and educational programme primarily focuses on visual arts, contemporary music and film. It was established and by many recognised as one of Europe’s leading contemporary galleries.[citation needed]

The CCA was established in December 1992, in the premises of the former Third Eye Centre which had been founded there as a multi-media arts centre by Tom McGrath in 1973.[2]

The CCA is housed in the Grecian Chambers, a category A listed building, designed by Alexander 'Greek' Thomson in 1867-1868 and substantially renovated for its present use by Page & Park in 1998.[3]

The CCA is supported by the Scottish Arts Council.[1]

Since 2008,[4] independent bookshop Aye-Aye Books have been based in the foyer of the CCA.[5] The shop stocks artist's books, magazines,[6] poetry, zines, political titles and fiction.
