Chalcis (in Europa) was an Ancient town, near modern Inecik, in European Turkey. Its bishopric became a Latin Catholic titular see.

History

Chalcis was important enough to become a Roman bishopric, suffragan of the metropolitan Archbishop Heraclea Perinthus, the capital of its Roman province, Europa.

Titular see

The diocese was nominally restored in 1933 as a Latin Catholic titular see, but hasn't got an incumbent yet.
