Changtu (simplified Chinese: ; traditional Chinese: ; pinyin: Chāngtú) is a county-level city in, Liaoning province, China with a population of over 178,800[2] residents in Changtu County as of 2010. Though according to the World Atlas Changtu City has only a population of 71,284,[3] though it does not tell when the census was taken. Changtu has an elevation of 135 Meters above sea water and spans an area of 4,317 km2 (1,667 sq mi) and is at longitude, latitude, 42.77884° N, 124.09545° E.

Education

Education in Changtu city is taken very seriously. This is because the mindset in China is that you want to go to a better place when you go to high school or when you go to college. Basically parents want their children to leave their hometown and go to a better city. So if you live in Changtu your parents will strive for you to go to a different city to go to high school, such as Tieling or Dalian, basically any other city in China unless you can go to High School One, which the high school does not accept everyone it only accepts the best.

High Schools

One of the bigger high schools in Changtu is High School One. This school covers about 105 kilometers squared.

Middle Schools

A school that is close to one-third the size of High School One is Middle School four. This school covers about 28 kilometers squared.
