Charlie Cole (born 1955 in Texas[1]) is an American photographer and photojournalist.

Cole left the United States in 1980 and moved to Japan, where he worked for magazines as Newsweek or Time and newspapers like The New York Times.

He won the 1990 World Press Photo of the Year for a photo taken of the Tank Man during the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989.[1]

Charlie Cole lives and works from Bali, Indonesia.
