Chen Xiao (born July 5, 1987) is a Chinese television and film actor.

Career

Chen graduated from the Central Academy of Drama in 2009. He made his acting debut in Tsui Hark's film Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame (2010) as the amazing Grand Preceptor. After that, he played supporting roles in other television series such as The Qin Emperor II (2011), Palace II (2012) and The Bounty Hunter (2012). He received critical acclaim for his portrayal of Lin Pingzhi in the 2013 television series Swordsman, which was adapted from Louis Cha's novel The Smiling, Proud Wanderer.

Personal life

In 2015, Chen Xiao began dating his The Romance of the Condor Heroes co-star Michelle Chen.[1] They have recorded 2 love song duets, "Ni Wo" (你我; "You and Me") and "Ai Ru Chu Jian" (愛如初見; "Love Like First Sight"). The pair will also star in Quentin Lee's Morning, Paris! (巴黎早安), a romantic comedy film set to begin filming in September 2015 for a 2016 release.[2][3][4] After eight months of dating, Chen Xiao proposed to Michelle Chen in 2015. It is said the wedding will be held in 2016
