The chestnut piculet (Picumnus cinnamomeus) is a species of bird in the Picidae family. It is found in northern Colombia and north western Venezuela.

Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical mangrove forests, and subtropical or tropical dry shrubland.
