Chimbo is a location in the Bolívar Province in Ecuador. It is the seat of the Chimbo Canton. The closest cities to Chimbo are Guaranda and San Miguel. Chimbo was once called the city of Benalcazar because he stayed there for several days before departing to Quito to fight the colonizers.
