The chocolate-vented tyrant (Neoxolmis rufiventris) is a species of bird in the Tyrannidae family. It is placed in the monotypic genus Neoxolmis.[citation needed] The species was first scientifically described by Vieillot in 1823.

It is found in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Uruguay.

Its natural habitat is temperate grassland.
