Chocz [xɔt͡ʂ] is a town in Pleszew County, Greater Poland Voivodeship, in west-central Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Chocz.[2] It lies approximately 11 kilometres (7 mi) north-east of Pleszew and 81 km (50 mi) south-east of the regional capital Poznań.
History
[edit]Chocz, in the past also known as Chodecz, was a private town, administratively located in the Pyzdry County in the Kalisz Voivodeship in the Greater Poland Province of the Kingdom of Poland.[3]
Chocz regained town rights on January 1, 2015.[4]
