Christian H. Kälin is a Swiss lawyer and businessman, the chairman and CEO of Henley & Partners and is known as "Mr Passports" or "The Passport King".[1]

Early life

Kälin earned master's and PhD degrees in law from the University of Zurich.[2]

Career

Kälin is the chairman and CEO of Henley & Partners.[3]

Through his company Henley & Partners, he is known for pioneering the concept of "citizenship-by-investment", whereby people can buy passports in return for investing in a country of which they are not a national.[4]

Kälin and Henley & Partners have worked with the governments of Antigua, Austria, Cyprus, Malta, St Kitts, and Grenada.[5] Kalin states that "citizenship is inherently unjust".[5]

In about 2008, Kälin "struck up a relationship" with Cambridge Analytica and its CEO Alexander Nix, and its parent company SCL Group were involved with a successful campaign to win the 2010 St Kitts and Nevis general election.[1]
