Chuck Smith is a New York-based documentary filmmaker and author. In 1999 Smith produced and directed the award-winning "Forrest Bess: Key to the Riddle" about the visionary artist Forrest Bess [1]The film features Willem Dafoe as the voice of Bess and was co-directed by Ari Marcopoulos. The film was turned into a book by powerHouse Books in 2013 with a Foreword by Robert Thurman.[2]
