Muhammed Abdillahi (Template:Lang-so), known professionally as Chunkz,[1] is a British-Somali musician and entertainer.
Career
Chunkz grew up in northwest London to Somali parents with three sisters and one brother. He has since featured on various social media, doing challenges, riddles, pranks and rap battles.[2]
Chunkz played the role of Asznee in the 2017 novelty song "Man's Not Hot", with doubling punning references to his own issues with being overweight and violence in inner-city regions of London.[3]
In March 2018, Chunkz, along with Michael Dapaah, helped launch a voice app built for the Google Assistant for the train ticket retailer Trainline to ease rail journey planning.[4] In April 2018, Chunkz won the International Somali Awards for best entertainer, exceeding singer-songwriter Cherrie and actor Barkhad Abdi in the vote. He received the award for his content creation and his encouragement of others in social media and digital content.[5] For the rest of the year, Chunkz was scheduled to be busy in the filming of Are We Dead Yet?[6].
Chunkz's channel (formerly called Chunkzino) started to grow at an exponential rate in late-2017. His presence in the Michael Dapaah's Mans Not Hot shoot marked a point where Chunkz started to gain increasing amounts of fame. On 19th November 2017, Chunkz released his diss track on WolfieRaps, featuring Big Shaq and Team Alboe. The video, of 8th August 2018, has amassed over 5.8 million views. He has also appeared on KSI's channel.
