Cihan Haspolatlı (born 4 January 1980) is a Turkish football player in midfield and right back positions. He is currently playing for İstanbul BB. Utility player performing ably in a number of different defensive and midfield roles and has made a habit of scoring important goals on big occasions

Club career

Formerly, he played for Kocaelispor and Galatasaray. He was a key player while playing at Galatasaray, the goal he scored against Olympiacos in the Champion's League is still remembered as one of the most random goals ever scored.[citation needed] He was later on criticized by many supporters who did not want to see him play any longer.[citation needed] Following the critics and his poor performance, he was sold to Bursaspor. He transferred to Konyaspor in 2008 and Ankaragücü in 2009.

International career

Cihan was a part of the Turkish National team during the buildup to the 2002 World Cup Squad in Korea/Japan but missed out on selection to the final squad for the tournament.
