Clive Duncan Hogger (b 1970) is the first person to undertake a new role as Assistant Archdeacon in the Diocese of Coventry.[1] Prior to that he was the Acting Archdeacon Pastor[2][3] of the Diocese of Coventry (2017-March 2018) following the retirement of The Venerable John Green.[4] That post was adapted from the role of the former Archdeacon of Coventry and is now held by The Venerable Sue Field.

Hogger was educated at Sheffield University and Ridley Hall, Cambridge; and ordained Deacon in 2008; and Priest in 2009.[5] After a curacy in Fletchamstead he was Team Vicar of Coventry East (2011-2016), Area Dean for Coventry East Deanery, and then Rector of Coventry All Saints, a post held concurrent with his appointment as Acting Archdeacon Pastor in 2017.
