Colombo International Nautical and Engineering College popularly known as CINEC Campus is Sri Lanka's largest Non-Governmental institute of higher education. It is also the largest Maritime Educational Training Facility approved by the Directorate of Merchant shipping in Sri Lanka. Established in 1990, CINEC CAMPUS is located in the quiet picturesque suburbs of Malabe with branches in Colombo, Jaffna and Trincomalee. Recently CINEC opened two overseas branches of the campus namely at Fiji and Seychelles. Over the past two decades, CINEC has established itself as the most prestigious option for those who desire a career in the fields of Maritime, Engineering, Technology, Logistics, Management and IT, by providing world-class excellence in education and training . CINEC also has a central ship simulator for let the cadets experience like in a ship. CINEC Campus caters to over 15,000. students annually, who follow a range of over 175 Educational and training programs.[1]

History

The Colombo International Nautical and Engineering College was established in 1993 with the aim to providing Maritime Engineering degrees in Sri Lanka. Being the first private university to do so, the campus has gone through fresher partnerships with Dalian Maritime University. Throughout its time of progress, CINEC Campus has now started programs for Engineering, Information Technology, and Logisitics Management.
