Creative Allies is an international online design community and fan engagement platform that provides visual artists with opportunities to design unique and original artwork bands, brands, festivals, and films.[1] Through its proprietary technology, comprehensive marketing services, strategic partnerships and by working with brands, bands and celebrities such as Arizona Iced Tea, Dr. Dre, Maroon 5, Selena Gomez, Slipknot, Keith Urban, Ice Cube, OneRepublic, Rick and Morty, Twenty One Pilots, MacGyver,[2] and Gavin DeGraw,[3] Creative Allies has cultivated a community of over 125,000 designers with more than 180,000 fans. The platform gives artists the opportunity to win prizes, and allows their designs to be sold as merchandise, earning them a commission on each sale.[4] The platform gives artists direct access to creative opportunities in addition to giving individuals an outlet to showcase their talent.

History

Creative Allies was founded in 2009 by entrepreneur Sean O'Connell, CEO of Music Allies.[5] In the same year, current Greg Lucas joined to help spearhead the launch of Creative Allies.[6] Lucas initially managed the marketing side of the company as a project manager, salesperson and strategic consultant for an array of independent labels and festivals ranging from Justin Timberlake's Tennman Records to Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival.[7] With both O'Connell and Lucas' expansive experience in the music industry, they were able to create an online community made up of over 43,000 designers and numerous musicians and bands.[8]

Creative Allies is now led by its President & CEO, Donald Thompson, a business strategist who believes that every day should be the day to dream bigger and work smarter. A global executive, entrepreneur, keynote speaker and author, Donald has a passion for building businesses and growing leaders. In 2016, under Donald’s leadership, Creative Allies has expanded the business development and marketing teams as well as diversified service offerings in an effort to grow the Creative Allies community.
