Crystal Telecom Rwanda, commonly referred to as Crystal Telecom, is a Rwanda Stock Exchange listed company with its headquarters in Kigali, Rwanda. The firm holds a 20 percent stake in MTN Rwandancell as its only investment.[1]

History

Crystal Telecom was formed in 2013[1] when Rwanda based investment firm Crystal Ventures span off its shareholding in MTN Rwandancell to its newly incorporated subsidiary with the aim of disposing it through an IPO. The IPO was conducted in June 2015 and was over-subscribed by 123%.[2] The company's shares started trading on the RSE on July 17, 2015 making it the third local firm to list on the exchange.[3]
