Daniel Munday (born 7 March 1985) is an Australian former professional basketball player.

Career

Born in Karratha, Western Australia, Munday grew up in and around Perth. He graduated from Willetton Senior High School in 2002 and played basketball for the Mandurah Magic at junior and SBL level.[1]

In 2004, Munday moved to the United States to play college basketball for the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay. He played one season for Green Bay before transferring to Ouachita Baptist University where he played from 2005 to 2008.[2] He debuted in the New Zealand NBL in 2009 for the Harbour Heat. He came off the bench for the Heat throughout the season. For the 2010 season, he moved to the Southland Sharks and subsequently scored the first basket in the club's history.

In 2016, Munday played basketball competitively for the first since 2010, joining his former junior club the Mandurah Magic.[3]

Personal

Munday has an Australian father, Greg, and a Kiwi mother, Sheryl.[2] He also has a brother named Nicholas. He is married to Vilonia, Arkansas native, Emily Matthews.[1]
