David Walter Adamany (September 23, 1936 – November 10, 2016) was Temple University's eighth president,[1] and the 8th president of Wayne State University. One of Wayne State University's libraries, David Adamany Undergraduate Library, was his creation. Adamany later served for a time as head of the Detroit Public School District. David Adamany died Thursday November 10, 2016. He served as president from 1983 to 1997.[2][3]
