David Hackel is an American television producer and writer, who is best known for creating, writing, producing the CBS sitcom, Becker, which starred Ted Danson and ran from 1998 until 2004. Aside from all his work on Becker, Hackel has also worked on different episodes of Frasier, The Love Boat, Wings, Dear John, Out of This World, Webster, Nine to Five, Fish, LateLine, Harper Valley PTA, Gridlock, Shirley, The Pursuit of Happiness. Many of these series were produced by Paramount Network Television.

He also writes a column for The Huffington Post.[1]
