David Hamilton is the county administrator for Hernando County, Florida. He served as mayor of the city of Thunder Bay, Ontario from 1992 to 1997, and was previously a county administrator in rural Minnesota.[1]

Hamilton was born c. 1950 in Fort William, Ontario to James Murray Hamilton and Martha Alice Adams, an American, who married in 1944.[2] He attended the Fort William Collegiate Institute.
