David Miramant (born May 22, 1955) is an American politician and glider pilot from Maine. A Democrat, Miramant served one term in the Maine House of Representatives (2006-2008) before unsuccessfully challenging Chris Rector for the District 22 State Senate seat. He served on the Selectboard for the town of Camden, Maine from 2000-2003. He was a place holder candidate for the District 44 seat in the House of Representatives in 2004 before winning the seat in 2006.[1]
Dave Miramant was a State representative for the 44th district of Maine as of 2006, and leaving the senate two years later in 2008.[citation needed]
In February 2014, Miramant announced that he would seek to replace the retiring Edward Mazurek for the renamed Senate District 12.[2] He was successful and served in the 123rd Legislature. In 2016, he was re-elected to a second 2-year term beating former U.S. Congressman David F. Emery by 52%-48%.

Miramant was born on May 22, 1955 in Dayton, Ohio. He is a graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington ('80).[1]
