David Newton is a Scottish jazz pianist and composer.[1]

His collaborations include Stacey Kent, Martin Taylor and Carol Kidd.[2]

Newton was voted best Jazz Pianist in the British Jazz awards for the thirteenth time in 2014 and was made a Fellow of Leeds College of Music in 2003, and is currently a principal lecturer in jazz piano at the college.
