Dejan Ranković (Serbian Cyrillic: Дејан Ранковић; born 25 July 1976 in Smederevo) is a Serbian football goalkeeper who plays Sloga Petrovac na Mlavi in the Serbian First League.

Career

Born in Smederevo, Ranković passed through the youth system of, then called Sartid Smederevo. After a loan spell at Železničar Smederevo, his return to Sartid coincided with the club's promotion to the national top division. Faced with competition from more experienced goalkeepers, he was forced to wait for a chance. In 2000, due to army obligations, he went to Leskovac and played for FK Dubočica. In 2001, in order to play more, Ranković moved to Slavija Sarajevo. When he returned to his home club in 2002, he was a replacement for national team player Dragan Žilić. However, after Žilić's departure from FK Smederevo in 2005, Ranković became the first choice goalkeeper. After 10 years at the club Rankovic signed for Serbian side FK Sloboda Užice.

Trivia

Ranković has a rare hobby, he is a car mechanic, owning and maintaining an oldsmobile from 1968.

FK Sloga 33 (Serbian Cyrillic: ФК Слога 33) is a football club based in Petrovac, Serbia. They compete in the Serbian League West, the third tier of the national league system.

History

The club took part in the 1951 Yugoslav Cup, defeating Radnički Beograd 4–1 in the opening round. They met Partizan in the next phase and were defeated 15–0,[1] as Stjepan Bobek scored eight goals for the Belgrade side.[2]

After winning the Podunavlje Zone League in 2007,[3] the club spent six seasons in the Serbian League West. They would finish as champions in the 2012–13 season to earn promotion to the Serbian First League, reaching the second tier for the first time in their history. In July 2016, the club withdrew from the competition due to financial reasons.[4]

In the summer of 2016, the club was reformed and started off in the Braničevo District League, the fifth tier of Serbian football. They reached the Serbian League West in 2018, but suffered relegation in 2021.[5]
