Denis Atkins is an Australian journalist and author. He is currently the Courier-Mail national affairs editor based in Brisbane, QLD.[1]

Personal life and career

Atkins writes for newspapers and is a regular panelist on the ABC Insiders program. According to the ABC, Atkins has worked in and covered politics in Australia for more than 30 years, and was national chief of staff with Melbourne's News-Sun Pictorial during the 1980s, and subsequently worked as national political editor for the Courier-Mail, where he remains the national affairs editor based in Brisbane.[2]

Political views

Atkins is a former Australian Labor Party staffer.[3]
