Deosar (Devsar) is a town and tehsil in Singrauli district, Madhya Pradesh, India. It is also an industrial hub. Deosar Tehsil is located on N.H. 75. It is also a Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly, part of the Sidhi Lok Sabha constituency.

Deosar belongs to Rewa Division . It is located 55 km towards west from District headquarters Singrauli. 592 km from State capital Bhopal towards east. Deosar Tehsil is bounded by Sihawal Tehsil towards North, Chitrangi Tehsil towards East, Sidhi Tehsil towards west, Singrauli Tehsil towards East . Sidhi City, Singrauli City, rewa City, renukoot are the nearby Cities to Deosar. Deosar consist of 217 Villages and 98 Panchayats . It is in the 394 m elevation(altitude) . Vindhyachal, Rewa, mada caves, Allahabad, Varanasi (Benares) are the nearby Important tourist destinations to see. [1]

History

Till 2008, it was part of the Sidhi district which was bifurcated to create Singrauli district,(which is created by our cm shivraj singh) chauhan tehsils, Singrauli, Chitrangi,and Deosar.but at 2012 two new tehsils are added name are sarai and mada.it is also known as bijaura.famous Shree Ganeshji temple, Deosar located near khadaura village also for Maadi Bandh Dam located in village Jhakhrawal .
