Dichomeris famosa is a moth in the Gelechiidae family. It was described by Meyrick in 1914.[1] It is found in the Democratic Republic of Congo (East Kasai), Malawi and Zimbabwe.[2]

The wingspan is 14–16 mm. The forewings are dark purplish-ashy-fuscous. The stigmata is very obscure, blackish, with the discal approximated, the plical beneath the first discal, the second discal transverse. The hindwings are grey.[3]
