His career coaching record at Wabash was 14 wins, 16 losses, and 0 ties. This ranks him 11th at Wabash in total wins and 20th at Wabash in winning percentage (.467).[2]

Following his stint at Wabash, Bowman served as an assistant head coach for four years at the United States Military Academy under Homer Smith.[citation needed]
