A digital newsstand is a digital distribution platform for downloadable newspapers, magazines and journals. Examples include (but are not limited to) Apple's Newsstand, Google Play Newsstand and Zinio. It is an evolution of the traditional news stand, with which they often compete with.[citation needed]
