Nélson Diogo Freitas Cunha (born 10 February 1986), known as Diogo Cunha, is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays for Moreirense as a midfielder.

Career

Born in Guimarães, Cunha is a youth prospect of Vitória Guimarães, arriving there as 10 year-old, and staying for decade, with exception of one-year loan in GDR Amigos de Urgeses.[1]

He started in professional at F.C. Lixa, in the third tier, spending only a year there, before moving to A.A. Avanca and then Olhanense, in the Segunda Liga. In 2008, he signed with Feirense, assuming an important role in the team, which included a promotion to the top tier in 2010-11.

In 2013, after five seasons at Feirense, with over 100 league caps in his record, Cunha moved to Moreirense, earning promotion to the Primeira Liga in his debut season there. [2][3]
