Don Jon's Addiction is a 2013 comedy film written, directed by and starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Produced by Ram Bergman and Nicolas Chartier, it also stars Scarlett Johansson, Julianne Moore, Brie Larson and Tony Danza. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 18, 2013.[2]
Plot
Jon Martello (Gordon-Levitt) is a modern day Don Juan who objectifies everything in his life, especially women. His friends call him Don Jon because of his ability to pull "10s" every weekend without fail. But his addiction to porn has made him dissatisfied with life and he sets out on a journey to find a more gratifying sex life.[3] However, he ends up seeing the bigger picture and learning more about life and love through two different women.[4]

Filming
Production began in May 2012 and filming was shot on location in Hackensack, New Jersey and in Los Angeles, California.
Reception
Entertainment Weekly managing editor Jess Cagle called the film "one of the best movies I saw at the fest" and wrote, "Funny, touching, smart, and supremely confident, Don Jon's Addiction is also Gordon-Levitt's feature directorial debut, and it establishes him as one of Hollywood's most exciting new directors."[6]
