Dongbog O clan (Korean동복 오씨; Hanja同福 吳氏) was one of the Korean clans. Their Bon-gwan was in Hwasun County, South Jeolla Province. According to the research in 2015, the number of Dongbog O clan was 72394. Their founder was O Hyeon jwa [ja]. O Hyeon jwa [ja] was a descendant of O Cheom (Hanja: 吳瞻) who came over from China to Silla during Jijeung of Silla’s reign in Silla dynasty. O Hyeon jwa [ja] was appointed as Prince of Dongbog (Hanja: 同福君) during Gojong of Goryeo’s reign in Goryeo dynasty and began Dongbog O clan.[1]
