Doosan Group is a Korean conglomerate. It started life as the Park Seung-jik Store in Jongno, Seoul, in August 1896, and now has the longest corporate history in Korea.Doosan engaged in various businesses until the 1990s, including technological materials, information flow, and life cultures. Doosan has developed a new global growth strategy by acquiring several major companies over the last seven years including Doosan Heavy Industries and Construction (formerly Korea Heavy Industries and Construction, a heavy industry company specializing in power and desalination plants) in 2001, Koryeo Industrial Development in 2004, and Doosan Infracore (formerly Daewoo Heavy Industries & Machinery, a company specializing in construction machinery) in 2005. Doosan Group is a Korean conglomerate. It started life as the Park Seung-jik Store in Jongno, Seoul, in August 1896, and now has the longest corporate history in Korea.Doosan engaged in various businesses until the 1990s, including technological materials, information flow, and life cultures. It acquired Hankuk Heavy Industry in 2001, Koryo Industrial Development in 2003, and Daewoo Machinery in 2005, successfully changing its business portfolios as an ISB(Infrastructure Support Business) brand and expanding its global market share.

3. Corporate Social Responsibility

Doosan, through the Yonkang Foundation, conducts diverse scholarship programs and academic research support projects. Doosan also serves as the Chung-Ang University Foundation, and its affiliates fulfill their corporate social responsibilities.
