Dorothy Adkins

Dorothy Adkins (1912–1975) was a psychologist concentrating on Psychometrics.[1] She was the first and only female department chair in the Psychology Department at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.[2]
Early life
Adkins grew up in Atlanta, a town in Pickaway County, Ohio. Her father was both a business man and a farmer; her mother was a school teacher.
Her papers are held by the Archives of the History of American Psychology at The University of Akron.[3]
