"Down Came a Blackbird" is a debut song recorded by American country music artist Lila McCann. It was released in May 1997 as the first single from the album Lila. The song reached #28 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart.[1] The song was written by Michael Smotherman and Mark Spiro.
