Part of the Tornadoes of 1976

On the afternoon of June 13, 1976, a violent F4 tornado affected the Chicago suburban counties of Cook and DuPage in northeastern Illinois. , Lemont, Illinois.[1] It was the first "violent" (F4/EF4+) tornado in the suburbs of Chicago since the 1972 North Chicago tornado, and the last until the 1990 Plainfield tornado.[2]
