255 Medium Regiment is part of the Regiment of Artillery of the Indian Army.

Formation and history the regiment was raised as 255 Mountain Regiment on 15 May 1976 at Binnaguri. The first commanding officer was Lieutenant Colonel RN Bhagat, SM and the unit was equipped with 75/24 Pack howitzer. The regiment was subsequently converted to a field regiment and is presently a medium regiment.

   • Operation Parakran
