Alisa Coman (born Păun, born November 11, 1991, Bacău) is a Romanian politician, who ran for the local elections in Romania in 2024.[1] Alisa has experience in journalism, legal and diplomacy. She is married and has a child.
Childhood and education
[edit]Alisa was born in Podul Turcului commune, Bacău county and grew up in Constanța, Bucharest, and later her with her parents, Florin and Liliana Păun, settled together in Bacău.
She finished her primary and secondary school in Vultureni commune, and she attended high school in Bacău, at Mihai Eminescu College.
She continued her university studies at the "Dimitrie Cantemir" Christian University in Bucharest and at the Haute Ecole de la Province de Liege, Belgium, specializing in law. In 2016, Alisa gave up preparing for the bar to start the courses at the well-known school Intact Media Academy part of the TV media trust Antena Group.[2]
In 2023, she completed a master's degree in communication and public relations at the Ecological University of Bucharest.
She is fluent in English and Italian.
Press and consular career
[edit]Alisa started her career in television immediately after finishing the courses at the Intact Media Academy, at first as a reporter for Observator and then continuing as an editor and reporter in the entertainment mornings shows of Antena 1, Prietenii de la 11 and Neatza cu Răzvan is Dani.[3]
Alisa ended her work in the press in 2020, when she moved with her husband, Iulian Coman, in Hungary.
From 2021, she started her activity as a consular officer at the Romanian Embassy in Budapest and she was involved in local community projects with the Romanian minority from Hungary.[4]
Political career
[edit]Alisa Coman joined the Alliance Party for the Union of Romanians (Partidul Alianta pentru Unirea Romanilor - AUR) at the beginning of 2024 and ran for the local elections in Bacău County.
She was on the AUR list running for county councillors, local councilor of the Local Council of Oncești Municipality and a candidate for mayor of Oncești Municipality in Bacău County.
Alisa achieved a very good score of 8.11% in the elections, although being newly entered into politics, and was elected as a local councillor.[5]
Starting from June 2024, she was appointed President of the Women's Organization of the AUR Party in Bacău County.
Personal life
[edit]Alisa married officer Iulian Coman in 2020, at the Romanian Embassy in Budapest, and together they have a little girl, Anastasia, born in 2022.
Alisa and Iulian met in 2019, while the officer was a spokesperson for the Alexandru Ioan Cuza Police Academy, and Alisa called him for an interview.[6]
