Andrew Finkelstein is an American attorney mainly known for handling cases of personal injury, workers' compensation, class action and mass torts, and Social Security disability.[1]
Life and career
[edit]Finkelstein was born and raised in Newburgh, New York. He attended public schools in the area and graduated from Newburgh Free Academy in 1983. Finkelstein pursued higher education at Syracuse University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Marketing in 1987.[2][3] He furthered his education at Brooklyn Law School, obtaining his Juris Doctor in 1991.[4]
After graduating law school in 1991, Finkelstein joined his father, Howard Finkelstein, at Finkelstein, Levine, Gittelsohn & Tetenbaum in Newburgh, New York, which later became Finkelstein & Partners. He became Managing Partner in 1996. In 1999, he became Managing Partner of Jacoby & Meyers, LLP, followed by taking over as Managing Partner of Fine, Olin & Anderman, LLP in 2001.[5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12]
In 2008, he founded Total Trial Solutions, LLC, and in 2009, co-founded Finkelstein, Blankenship, Frei-Pearson, and Garber, LLP.[13] In 2020, he joined Diller Law, LLP as Managing Partner.[14]
In 2022, Finkelstein published his book "I Hope We Never Meet: Client stories of tragedy, recovery, and accountability from a life in deterrence law."[15][16][17][18]
Finkelstein is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association since 1991.[19]
