Mads Hedegaard is a danish film director who works in both documentary and fiction. He graduated from the National Film School of Denmark in 2017. Hedegaard's graduation documentary Skull Fracture or 'Aren't You Rather Young to Be Writing Your Memoirs (2017) was nominated for the Danish Academy Award Robert. Hedegaard got his feature length documentary debut with 'Cannon Arm and the Arcade Quest' (2021), which was selected for competition at CPH:DOX and won audience award at Hotdocs Canadian International Film Festival 2021[1].

Hedegaard's fiction feature directorial debut is the action drama Stranger which is produced by Motor. Stranger is the first Danish feature film to be set in the Stone Age.[2]
