  • Comment: Doesn't meet WP:NPOL. WP doesn't consider someone who ran for an elective office as notable. He has written non-notable books otherwise present identifiers (like ISBN, oclc) to identify the books and book reviews. In the sources, we need significant coverage and IMDb is not reliable. Ashlan Lee Chidester (born January 16, 1978) is an American author born in Independence, Missouri. He continues to make contributions to the field of telecommunications and software engineering through the publication of several technical manuals, articles, and books that are referenced in technical training worldwide. His works have gained recognition in academic circles and have been cited in various scholarly publications.[1]

He resides in the Pacific Northwest with his wife, Caroline Emma Chidester, and their Alaskan Malamute named Winston, where he continues to write.

In 2023, Ashlan Chidester is the Founder of Mega Corp Telecom.[2]

In 2024, Ashlan ran for Commissioner Position 5 in the Proposed Fidalgo Metropolitan Recreation District[3] as part of the Washington State Elections. The election did not proceed past the primary stage,[4] with voters deciding not to advance the proposal which failed 4,407 yays to 4,410 nays.
