Atlas Yankı Turan (born 2 May 2017) is a young and promising Turkish figure skater. He competes in national and international competitions, representing Turkey.

Atlas Yankı Turan was born on 2 May 2017 in Maltepe, Istanbul, Turkey. From a young age, he showed a natural affinity for figure skating and began training rigorously to hone his skills. His skating progress can be followed atlas.on.ice on Instagram

Training and Camps

Atlas has attended several prestigious international ice skating camps to enhance his skills:

  • Amodio Summer Camp: In July 2024, Atlas participated in the Amodio Summer Camp in Gebze with his Head Coach Kutay Eryoldaş, training under Florent Amodio, a renowned French figure skater and coach. The camp also featured Javier Fernandez, a two-time World Champion and European Champion, and Anna Shcherbakova, the 2021 World Champion and 2022 Olympic champion. [1] [2] [3] [4]
  • Summer Camp 2024: In June and July 2024, he attended camps in Kocaeli and Ankara, where he trained with Alexei Urmanov, the 1994 Olympic champion, and Ivan Righini, a former Italian competitive figure skater and current coach and choreographer. [5] [6] [7]
  • Amodio Summer Camp: In July 2023, Atlas participated in the Amodio Summer Camp in Gebze with his head coach Kutay Eryoldaş, training under Florent Amodio, a renowned French figure skater and coach. [1] [4]

Personal Life

Atlas balances his skating career with his education and enjoys spending time with his family and friends. His early achievements in figure skating serve as an inspiration to many young athletes in Turkey.
