Ayzad (1969) is an Italian writer, author of the manual BDSM – A Guide for Explorers of Extreme Eroticism and other reference texts on the subject of BDSM and alternative sexualities. Ayzad is also an educator, personal coach, and trainer in the field of ethical and non-normative sexualities[1][2], as well as a BDSM event organizer. His registered name is not known.
Biography
[edit]Ayzad was born in 1969 and worked as a journalist before dedicating himself to writing and sharing what he learned over years of study on BDSM and alternative sexualities. Since his registered name has not been made public, the author is known by the pseudonym he adopted when he published his first book in 2004, BDSM – A Guide for Explorers of Extreme Eroticism.
Thanks to the success of this manual, which quickly became a bestseller, the author began collaborating with sexologists and researchers, leading to the publication of the book XXX – The Dictionary of Unusual Sex (2009). In 2012, he edited the book On Tour by Mistress Madame Ingrid, the first biography of a professional Mistress in Italy. He then published the novel Original Sins (2013), the biography The Mistress (2014), and the guide to extreme erotic relationships I Love BDSM (2015).[1]On January 1, 2018, he published the Manifesto of Sexual Explorers, a series of simple principles aimed at helping people approach sexuality in a positive way.[3]"In 2019, the manual Criminology of Sex Offenders was published, of which Ayzad is a co-author.
In addition to writing books, from 2014 to 2018, Ayzad collaborated with Wired publishing numerous articles on the topic of unusual sexualities. In 2019, he created the podcast Explorers of Unusual Sex, and since 2020, he has participated as an expert in the weekly episodes dedicated to unusual sexualities on the show Rebel Yell on Radio Freccia.[4]
Ayzad has been named one of the five most influential sex bloggers in the world for his website[1][5][6], where he shares curiosities and reflections on the lesser-known aspects of sex. His first book is widely cited in scientific publications on the subject. [7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15]
Themes and impact
[edit]Ayzad's work primarily focuses on BDSM and alternative sexualities, advocating for a positive and informed approach to these topics. He emphasizes the importance of consent, communication, and education in sexual relationships, aiming to dismantle stigma and promote understanding of non-normative sexual practices.
His writing often explores the complexities of human sexuality, challenging traditional norms and encouraging readers to embrace diverse sexual expressions. Through his various publications, including BDSM – A Guide for Explorers of Extreme Eroticism and I Love BDSM, Ayzad provides insights into the psychological and emotional dimensions of BDSM, aiming to empower individuals to explore their desires safely and consensually.
Ayzad's influence extends beyond his written works; he has contributed to discussions in mainstream media through his articles in Wired and his podcast, Explorers of Unusual Sex. By engaging with a broader audience, he has helped to normalize conversations around alternative sexualities and has positioned himself as a key figure in contemporary discussions on sexual ethics.
His recognition as one of the five most influential sex bloggers highlights his impact in the field, as his work is frequently cited in academic and popular discussions regarding sexuality. Through his efforts, Ayzad has fostered a greater awareness and acceptance of diverse sexual identities and practices, contributing to a more inclusive dialogue about human sexuality.
