Balkishan Agrawal (born 14 January 1980), popularly known as BK Sir, is an Indian experimental mathematician, author and principal of the Babu Daudayal Saraswati Vidya Mandir. In 2023, he was awarded the Students Choice Awards by Oswaal Publications, for being the best teacher, for his contribution to Mathematics Education. His field of research is Vedic Maths.
He has authored several schools, undergraduate and graduate level textbooks, including but not limited to the most popular and most notably the CylcoMathics, extensively used by students appearing for various high-level competitive examinations.
He has founded GMS - Learning Simply, a social upliftment non-profit platform for economically weaker children living in Uttar Pradesh. He has dedicated himself in training young minds in the field of Vedic Mathematics. He has immensely contributed to popularising Mathematics education among Indian students and teachers by conducting lectures and experimental demonstrations.
Early life and study[edit]
Agrawal was born in a Middle Class family on 14th January, 1980 to Manik Chand Agrawal, a Local Farmer and Pushpa Devi in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. He obtained his B.Sc. degree at the B.S.A. College Mathura.. Then he obtained M.Sc. & M. Ed. at the Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University.

Delhi Public School[edit]
In 2000, Agrawal joined DPS as a lecturer. He remained at the school as a lecturer and reader for 5 years before resigning from the school and joining Ghanshyam International College.
Ghanshyam International College[edit]
Agrawal joined Ghanshyam International College in 2005 as Principal. Here he pursued research in experimental Vedic Mathematics. He has published 78 research papers. He resigned there in 2014 to join Shriji Baba Saraswati Vidya Mandir.
Mathematics outreach[edit]
Agrawal has developed more than hundred ‘low cost’ mathematics experiments that teachers can employ in their classrooms. In 2020, during covid pandemic, he set up the online platform named GMS - Learning Simply, a free place where students can learn a their pace. He is now nominated for President Award 2024.
