Brent Gerry is the chair of the Energy Communities Alliance (ECA), a national coalition of cities and counties located adjacent to DOE facilities.[1] He is serving his third term as Mayor of the city of West Richland, Washington.[2]
Mayor
[edit]He is currently serving his third, four-year term as mayor, which commenced on January 1, 2022. His first term commenced on January 1, 2014 and his second term on January 18. Gerry previously served on the West Richland City Council for four years from January 2010 to December 2013. He is a strong advocate of citizen participation in the city government.[3]
First term
[edit]Gerry ran for mayor against Kate Morgen in the 2021 election[4] and won with 61% of the vote; Morgen won 38% of the vote, while other candidates won 1%.[5]
