Burt Conrad Szerlip is a Grammy winning musician, producer and engineer. He won the Grammy Award in 1975 for his work as an engineer[1] on Paul Simon's album "Still Crazy After All These Years" which won Album of the Year.[2]

Burt Conrad Szerlip has used several variations of his name through his career including Burt Conrad[3] and Burt Szerlip[4].

Other notable albums that Burt Conrad Szerlip has been involved with creating include an engineer role on Billy Joel's album "The Stranger" which is 11X platinum[5], an engineer role on Chic's album "Le Freak" which is 5X platinum (certified April 10, 2024)[6] and was an assistant engineer on Aerosmith's album "Get Your Wings" which is 3X platinum (certified February 26, 2001)[7] Additional platinum records that he has worked on include Sister Sledge "We Are Family" (engineer), Art Garfunkel "Breakaway" (engineer), and Alice Cooper "School’s Out" (assistant engineer).

He is known for many 70s disco hits and Billboard Magazine recommended Front Page and the song "Love Insurance" which he co-produced, in the Aug 4, 1979 edition of the magazine.

Burt Conrad Szerlip also performs as an actor, primarily in theatre. He has played the parts of James Furman in Hells Kitchen, Commander Harbison in South Pacific and Andrew Cranes in Oklahoma on stage.[8] Burt played the part of Karl Lindner in Raisin The Musical [9] and also runs Sea Bright Records, the record label that released the 50th Anniversary Cast Recording of Raisin.[10] He was also in the house band for the world premiere of "East Carson Street" at the Bell Theater, in Holmdel, New Jersey.[11]
