Dr. Somashekar Gejje Somashekar Gejje is an Indian plastic surgeon known for his contributions to reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. He is the founder of Gejje’s Marvella, a medical facility specializing in plastic surgery, with locations in Bangalore and Hosapete. Dr. Gejje has extensive international training and fellowships in plastic surgery and has published numerous research papers in esteemed medical journals.
Early Life Somashekar Gejje was born and raised in Hospet, Karnataka. He completed his early education at Narbada Memorial School and SMIORE Pre-University College, where he was the district topper.
Education Dr. Gejje pursued his medical degree at Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, graduating with first-class honors in 2006. He was awarded the Jindal Scholarship for his outstanding performance during his MBBS. He then completed his DNB (Diplomate of National Board) in General Surgery at The Bangalore Hospital. In 2014, he earned his M.Ch. (Master of Chirurgiae) in Plastic Surgery from King George Medical University, Lucknow, securing the first rank in the All India M.Ch. Plastic Surgery Entrance Examination.

Professional Experience Dr. Gejje founded Gejje’s Marvella, a premier plastic surgery center, in Bangalore in October 2018 and later expanded to Hosapete in February 2020. He serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Plastic Surgery at Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute since February 2016 and is a Visiting Consultant Plastic Surgeon at The Bangalore Hospital.
