Golub Goca Đorđević (Serbian Cyrillic: Голуб „Гоца“ Ђорђевић; Gornja Kamenica, c. 1770 - after 1830) was a Serbian Bimbaša who fought in the First Serbian Uprising along side with Karađorđe with distinction.[1]
Golub-Goca Đorđević in annals of Serbian history is known as one of many Serbian Bimbašas whose name struck fear in the hearts of Turks in the Balkan Penninsula during Ottoman Empire.
Golub Đorđević was born in the village of Gornja Kamenica, in Nahija Gurgusovac, to father Đorđe and mother Jona[2]. In addition to farming, Goca's father was also involved in tade, and as Goca was hardworking, agile and industrious, he told his father he wanted to join the Serbian insurgents and liberate Serbia from the Ottoman Empire yoke [3].
When Crna Reka rebelled for the first time in 1805, Goca Đorđević "gathered about twenty of his comrades, went to Ponikve, where he joined Knez Milosav of Crna Reka.[4]
