Henry Brash was a merchant and mayor. He served as mayor of Marianna, Florida for three terms before moving to Tampa where he established a clothing business downtown. He had several children. His wife was a clubwoman.[1] He immigrated from Germany. He is the earliest known Jewish mayor in Florida.[2]

He was a founder of the Rodeph Sholom congregation in Tampa.[3] A photo of his family is on the Florida Archives.[4]
